The Ophir lab is happy to welcome two students via the Army Educational Research Program this summer, Aumena Choudhry (High school – Grade 11) and Beverly Lo (Undergraduate – Junior). Both students will be working to investigate African giant pouched rat behavior. Aumena and Beverly will be investigating aspects of pouched rat olfaction, including the components of female urine odor that appeal to male pouched rats. They will also help in our investigation of suppression of reproduction by individual female pouched rats.
